What is the best way to contact The Fertilizer Guy?

Feel free to give us a call at 979-777-1995 Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
You can also send us an email at office@thefertilizerguy.com or text us at 979-777-1995.

Is it ok to mow before or after a treatment?

It is fine to mow before or after a treatment is completed. As long as the clippings are left in the yard after mowing, the treatment itself will still be soaked down into the soil once watered.

Do I need to be there for the treatment?

No, you do not need to be home in order for us to treat the yard. As long as the technician has access to the yard, they will apply the treatment and send an email once it is completed. If you have a lock on your gate, we ask that you have it unlocked prior to us arriving or provide us with the code to access the yard.

Will you let me know when you’re coming ahead of time?

Yes, we will send an email as well as a text message 2 to 3 days in advance letting you know what day the property is scheduled for treatment.

Will you let me know once they have finished the treatment?

Once the service is completed, the technician will send an email letting you know they have treated the lawn as well as watering instructions and other helpful information.

How often will you be coming out for treatments?

We typically come out every 1.5 to 2 months to complete a treatment.

Can I skip a treatment?

Every treatment included in the lawn program serves a specific purpose and is important for the overall health of the lawn, so we do not have an option to skip treatments.

Do you spray for weeds in the flowerbeds?

We do not spray for weeds in flower beds. This is to protect the plants that are in the beds.

Will you reschedule if it’s raining?

If we are experiencing severe weather, we may need to reschedule and will contact you. Rain itself will not impact the treatment as the products we use quickly bind to the soil.

Are your treatments safe for pets?

Everything we use is labeled for residential use, and our treatments are pet friendly. We ask that you keep your pets inside while we apply a treatment, and wait for the treatment to dry before letting them back outside. Normally, treatments dry within 30 minutes.

How much do treatments cost?

Pricing is completely based on the square footage of the yard. Please give us a call at 979-777-1995 or visit our website to request a free quote.

Can we treat new grass?

Yes, fertilizing new grass is beneficial, but we will not spray for weeds in these areas as the herbicides can be harmful to new grass

How is payment handled?

Most of our customers pay per treatment, and their credit/debit card is only charged once a service is completed. If you would like to prepay for the year, you can do so with either a credit/debit card or check.
